Zero and One are special numbers, especially when it comes to Multiplication.
Multiply anything with zero and you get a zero. Multiply anything with 1, and you get the same number again.
While rote-learning this is possible, we like to think visualising this is a much better way for kids to understand these properties of Zero and One.
